It was a rear-engine, rear wheel drive sports car that was very light and had unmatched handling characteristics. The car was available as a two door coupe and also as an open top. Porsche engineers continued to improve the car in the years of production. This increased the cars popularity and also contributed to its success on the racetrack. Production started in 1948 and the first 50 cars were produced in Gmund, Austria. The factory relocated to Zuffenhausen in 1950 and production of the 356 continued until April cars were produced of which approximately half have survived. This specific car is a 1960 B Coupe. The car has been beautifully maintained by its current owner for the last 15 years. It is a very original car, licensed and on the road. A great classic Porsche at a very reasonable asking price. This is a 1965, the last year 356’s were produced. The car is beautiful in white with cream interior. This car was restored a few years ago. Paintwork needs minor attention with small areas of surface rust here and there. Mechanically sound; car runs very well. This car has the petrol filler on the fender. Magnificent classic Porsche! 356’s are becoming very scarce, and an appreciating classic! It is rumored that there are only around 80 356 Porsches in South Africa. Please contact Angus Webber to arrange viewing this car. I spent almost 17 years with Porsche SA, so I know the cars, I love them and I enjoy selling them as well! Please take note that all cars can be viewed by appointment only.. POA

This specific car is a magnificent example of this very pretty and desirable Porsche 356. This is a numbers match 1959 car, the first year that syncro rings were introduced in the gearbox. This car was originally blue but repainted red about 40 years ago by the previous owner who owned the car for 26 years. The current owner has owned the car for 15 years. Car has had minimal upgrades and touch ups over the last few years but completely original except for the rims which have been chromed and Sebring style exhaust. It is the opinion of many collectors that the 356A is the prettiest 356 ever made and it is not difficult to see why they say so! An appreciating classic Porsche that is almost 60 years old and can be driven every day. Please take note that all cars can be viewed by appointment only.. POA
