Location : Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng
Year : 1989
Used, In 1984 Porsche replaced the 3.0 L 911SC with the 3.2 L Carrera, using the Carrera name for the first time since 1977. A higher displacement motor was used in the new car. The 915 gearbox from the 911 SC was retained for the first models and was only changed to the G50 gearbox in 1987.Engine power was now up to 172 kW or 231 hp. Zero to 100 km/h took 5.4 seconds and the top speed was 240km/h. This specific car represents a very rare opportunity for the serious collector to obtain a classic Porsche from the eighties! This car has done only 7331 miles (11730 kms) from new and has a full service history with the agents as well as a Porsche specialist . All books and spare keys available. Spare wheel, compressor and tool kit complete and like new. The car also comes with a tonneau cover. The 3.2 Carrera Speedster was only produced between January and July 1989. Only 2104 cars were made with 171 narrow body cars and the rest based on the Turbo body with the wider wheel arches. The car is characterized by a shorter and steeply raked windscreen and a hard tonneau cover that gave the back a bit of a hump. Weather protection was on the rudimentary side, but that didn’t matter too much as the bulk of the cars went to America. The cars were instantly collectable, so finding a low mileage example is not too difficult; paying for one is maybe not so easy!. R3,799,000
