Used, In 1984 Porsche replaced the 3.0 L 911SC with the 3.2 L Carrera, using the Carrera name for the first time since 1977. A higher displacement motor was used in the new car. The volume was achieved with the same bore size as in the 3.0 L engine, namely 95 mm but with 74.4 mm stroke and combined with the camshafts from the 1978 3.3 L Turbo. Higher domed pistons increased the compression ratio and a new inlet manifold and exhaust system were fitted. The 915 gearbox from the 911 SC was retained for the first models and was only changed to the G50 gearbox in 1987.Engine power was now up to 172 kW or 231 hp. Zero to 100 km/h took 5.4 seconds and the top speed was 240km/h. This specific car is a 1988 Carrera Cabriolet with only 139667 kms on from new and a full service history with the Agents and Porsche Specialists. It features the Getrag G50 gearbox. The Carrera 4S was built from 1996 and shared the same body as the Turbo model, but it had an uprated naturally aspirated Carrera engine in the rear. The car could be distinguished by a large rear fixed wing, a different front bumper with a wraparound front spoiler as well as air intakes next to the indicator lights. The car was fitted with 18 inch 3 piece rims. Headlight washers was deleted for weight saving purposes. On the interior the rear seat were taken out and sound proofing was reduced to the minimum. The car had special race seats with very basic door panels. The door handles were replaced by pull straps. The RS Clubsport was a track orientated version of the standard RS with limited road usability. The car came with a welded in roll cage, carbon fiber racing bucket seats, seat belt harnesses, a fire extinguisher and a battery kill switch. In an effort to reduce weight the car had no carpeting or sound proofing. The radio, air conditioner and power windows were also deleted. The same 3.8L engine was used as in the normal RS, producing 221kW or 296hp. This was the last air cooled 911 RS Porsche produced. Only 19 of the 993 RS cars were imported by the Agents between 1995 and 1996, of which only two were Clubsport versions. This specific car is finished in Riviera Blue the car has done only 52000kms from new with a full service history. The car has undergone extensive restoration recently and is perfect.
