Kia, the South Korean automaker introduced its mysterious and most awaited brand new second generation 2014 Soul at the Frankfurt Motor Show. In South Africa the car will be launched in the first quarter of 2014.
Kia has launched the model in a more funky way with improved ride and handling, increased interior and luggage space, reduced CO2 emissions and varied roof colours and upto 11 exterior paint finishes.
With rougher looks the customisation of the car includes a piano black paint on the bumpers, wheel arches and side borders to create an illusion of plastic body cladding. Some new features includes front LED lights, and rear LED ‘halo’ lights, HID headlights, keyless entry and push button engine start, air conditioner with automatic climate control, cruise control, seats with leather trimming, ventilated front seats, heated front and rear seats, panoramic glass sunroof and heated exterior mirrors.
The new crossover is equipped with with a 1.6 litre petrol and CRDi engine as in previous generation but with improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions and six speed manual and automatic transmissions.
The car aims to be the best after reengineering as it has now became 29% more stiffer bodyshell and comprehensive soundproofing due to which the interior noise levels are reduced by approx 3 decibels.
