Audi is all set to add one more infant MPV in their family likely to be known as Audi V4. This model will be extended for both five and seven seater versions and will be based on the same MQB framework as are used in Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf. The model gets a green signal for its launching at the upcoming Frankfurt Show in September, but any further official announcements are not yet made in this matter.
The MPV concept is totally a new project by Audi. They are working on the concept of high roof cars since last eight years. Audi first introduced its concept of MPV with the Roadjet concept at the Detroit Motor Show in 2006. The MPV concept is yet in its initial development stage, but we have to wait for the final model running on road.
It is expected to be powered by the TDI diesel engine and TFSI petrol engine as seen in the other range of Audi. However, this range is also expected to be seen in a hybrid variant in the selected markets.
The car was expected to be released between the A4 and the Q5 crossover, and likely to be sold as soon as 2014. The model will target the premium family vehicle buyers by attracting them with a reasonable price.
