Audi’s all new third edition S3 soon to hit the shores of South Africa. This new arrival is expected to be launched with even more power regardless of offering the same capacity of 1984cc.  It is as quick as Porsche 911 already launched. It will prove to be strong rival BMW’s M135i and also Mercedes A45 AMG. Internationally S3 is outfitted with 221 kW  and 380 Nm but the South African derivative will get 206 kW and the torque output will be the same.

It is superbly smooth with manageable power delivery and will move at the top speed of 250km/h. Few more factors which makes S3 a more improved version are less weight, fewer emissions, and improved fuel consumption. It will be 60 kgs lighter than the predecessor. S3 is crash free and will perform in a much more mature way than some of its high powered driven rivals.

Looking at the styling feature includes the brand’s logo at the centre in aluminium with matt platinum grey insert enclosed by xenon headlights. The seats will be seen in diamond patterned stitching and will be available in three different leather covering combinations. The interior features the premium technology like adaptive cruise control, MMI user interface, and a Bang and Olufsen audio system. These features are generally found in large audi models. One of the attracting feature is the safety system sensors in the car which enables it to stop automatically if the speed falls below 30 km/h.

It will be launched in two different models with pricing at R440 000 for the manual and R461 000 for the S-tronic. But for South African land a four-door Sportback version of the S3 is scheduled which will be available as S-tronic in SA market. It will be launched in November 2013 with pricing at R468 500. An S3 sedan class model like the A3 sedan will also be seen soon available in the market in 2014.
