Audi to undergo an investment program of R313 billion

The recent announcements made by the German automaker “Audi” states that they are going to rock the autoworld as they planned for an investment programme of R313 billion for the next five years. From this 70 percent of the investment will go in the production of new models and technologies and by 2020 will be launching 11 new models.


Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm the German plants will also be benefitted with the biggest technical development programme in the history of Audi. The production capacity at the plants will be increased in order to achieve their goal of two million cars a year. The production range will increase from 49 to 60 models by 2020. The programme will also include the next generation fuel efficient engines.


New Release:


With the A3 Sportback e-tron and A3 Sportback g-tron and the third generation TT coupe are expected to be released in 2014. But the production of the Q1 model in confirmed at the Ingolstadt in 2016.


While the machines at the first Audi plant in North America, at San José Chiapa in Mexico will be producing  the Q5 model from 2016. Audi has planned to begin production at São José dos Pinhais in Brazil initially in 2015 with the new A3 Sedan and the Q3.


Audi’s largest engine building plant located in the world in Gyr in Hungary, has began producing the A3 sedan and Cabriolet which soon will be followed by the new TT Coupe and roadster.
