Audi has again got the attention of its fans all over the world with the news that it is going to introduce another Quattro supercar concept. Audi has published few official sketches of its reborn Quattro supercar concept, which will be demonstrated in the Frankfurt motor show in September.
This four-wheel drive Quattro is designed to regenerate the spirit of the rally-bred Sport Quattro which was introduced in 1984. This Quattro concept model will be available in 2016 with limited-production model which is set to be priced over any existing Audi models. The Quattro drive vehicle will offer high levels of safety because all four wheel driven vehicles can be handled reliably in poor weather or any difficult road conditions.
The earlier concept uses the 408 bhp turbocharged 2.5-litre, five-cylinder engine. However, the new Quattro concept is believed to use twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, complete with cylinder deactivation. This new Audi Quattro also includes seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The power will be pumped around 600 bhp and send to its all four wheels.
The carmaker may use lightweight materials like aluminium and carbon-fibre to stick to its targeted 1300 kg kerb weight for this concept. Based on speculation, you'll be able to accelerate the Quattro from 0 to 100 Kmph around 3.4 seconds and top speed should be approximately 300 Kmph.
