Facelifted Land Rover Discovery ready for the Frankfurt

The 2014 Land Rover Discovery Facelift has been officially revealed for its debut at the Frankfurt Show. Currently the model is in its fourth generation which was updated mostly overall in October 2012  and same is in this case where the changes are quite impressive.


With 3.0 litre diesel engine  facelift have been made more fuel efficient, The 0 to 100km/h in 8.8 seconds is now going to hit the top speed of 180 km/h.


Modifications such as the slightly revised grille, bumpers and headlights and also new daytime LEDs are being made in the facelift. After the changes the new facelift looks similar to the 2014 Range Rover that was unveiled at the end of 2012. With different alloy wheels, One attractive modification being made is that the Land Rover name in the front is now replaced with the word “Discovery”.

 


These were some exterior changes, however information regarding the interior changes are not yet revealed by the company but much changes are not expected in the interior. The Discovery can be comprised of new meridian 17 speaker music system.


In terms of safety features, the new Discovery comes with boats of Wade Sensing, that uses SONAR sensor which is fitted under each door mirror to work out the depth of water ahead, Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing, Reverse Traffic Detection, and T-Junction Cameras.   


Although for its debut at the upcoming Frankfurt show, the booking of this Discovery Facelift is already started in the international markets.
