The company’s had already announced before around a year that they are planning to built a sports car with their joint efforts. But now finally they are together for this.

It was sure that the Toyota Chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada was very excited on Supra successor but, at the same time BMW admits that they are parallely working on many other projects also. And it may include anything from mid-engined supercar or a traditional front engined sports car.

But the recent reports states that they have finally signed some agreement, but the news are still fuzzy.  BMW development head Dr. Herbert Diess gave a statement in Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper that “We have finally agreed on the joint architecture development of the sports car. But the most important thing is that there will be two different vehicles that are purely from two different brands.”

We promise that this car will not be the another Toyota 86 or Subaru BRZ among which the only different thing is their badge.
