The emerging technology brings to world the all new concept of “Driverless-Cars”. They are going to hit the roads by the end of this year. The UK government raised a green flag against the theory of testing driverless cars on public roads in UK later in 2013 then followed by leading US states. The ongoing research of this fully independent cars is conducted by the researchers at the Oxford University along with the joint effort of Nissan. Initially the testing will done in the less populated areas along with a driver riding  who can control the vehicle in any case of emergency.

The concept is approved on the basis of the total public safety. This Robotic cars are totally machine controlled and uses the sensors like lasers and cameras to exactly identify the cars running on the road and automatically applies brakes if it finds any theft of crash or accident on the way. It uses cameras to determine the routes and also remember small journey paths. Other technologies like flexible in the controls during the journey and lane departure warning proves the most emphatic features of this driverless car.

Apart from the two main controller computers to handle the calculations, this automated car includes an iPad for user interaction. The technology can be well understood as when if any of the computers disagree with the actions to be taken, the sensors will move the whole control to the driver. And if there is no response from the drivers side, the brakes will be automatically applied. By 2025, we can expect many vehicles around the world to be fully automated. Driverless car soon to be foreseen in the South African countries also.
