Renault has already secured its strong position across the continent, but the “Renault Kangoo” has strengthened the brand’s position as a champion in light commercial vehicle brand. Renault recently announced the release of its face lifted new “Kangoo Express Van” across South Africa. This time the fresh face would include two new major changes: a complete fresh look and other is the 16V 1.6 litre powerful petrol engine.
Starting with the front you will find company’s bold logo with a black grill and dwindled headlights. At the rear you will find swing doors which can be opened up to an angle of 90 degrees when the door is locked and up to 180 degrees when it is unlocked. And the sliding doors allow additional entry space of 635 mm.
“Renault Kangoo was one of the best selling vehicle from its brand in Europe 2012,” said the Fabien Payzan, the marketing vice president at Renault SA.
The new powerful petrol engine is featured with a five speed manual transmission which produces 77kW at 5750 rpm and 148 Nm at 3750 rpm. Renault claims the fuel consumption of 7.7 litres/100 km and equivalent CO2 emission of 180 g/kg.
Kangoo allows an average weight lifting of 800kg while its overall length is 4.28 metres providing the load space of 3m3. The van is having a distance of 1.2 metres between the wheel arches.
The interior feature includes a standard Air conditioning system along with a remote central locking, a trip computer and a driver seat that can be adjusted according to the height. An MP3 compatible music system along with the bluetooth connectivity support and radio support. A full sized spare wheel with 15 inch rims as a part of a standard package.

Renault Kangoo Express Van will be available at R184 900 and a service plans which includes 5 year/150 000km and 3 year/60 000km warranty.
