Honda Civic Tourer with the brand new Adaptive Damper System

Honda has released official images of the Civic Tourer for the 2013 Frankfurt auto show which is going to be held on September 10. Detail of this new Honda Civic Tourer has been left for the official reveal. However, some key information allows us a appearance of what the Civic Tourer will be like. The Civic Tourer will be available in the showrooms in 2014.

"At first glance it is clear that the Civic Tourer does not look like other Wagons. Recently launched cars have tended to follow a similar style. The Civic Tourer has a different balance and appeal,” says Adrian Killham, Project Leader for the Civic Tourer.

The sleek exterior design of the new Civic Tourer has a large interior that gives remarkable versatility and functionality. The Civic Tourer will be available with a selection of two engines, the 1.6 i-DTEC diesel engine and the 1.8 i-VTEC petrol engine.

Honda’s unique “Magic Seat” configuration system increases the usable size for interior room with an increase of under-floor storage in the boot. According to Honda the innovative Magic Seat system gives a large boot space of 624 litres and 1668 litres utility space. Moreover loading height has been reduced by 137 mm.

 

The most popular attractive part of this Civic Tourer is a brand new Adaptive Damper System. With this ADS driver is allowed to choose from three driving modes : comfort, normal as well as dynamic driving modes. This gives the Civic Tourer to remain comfortable during riding. As Honda’s philosophy of ‘Safety for Everyone’, the Civic Tourer will also deliver a high standard of safety.
