Hyundai’s Second-generation i10 is to be launched in Frankfurt Motor Show

Hyundai has released three images of second-generation i10 before its world premiere in Frankfurt Motor Show which will be held in this september. The second-generation Hyundai i10 is based on an all-new platform compared to that first i10 released in October 2007.

It is 80mm longer, 65mm wider, 50mm lower to the road with the wheelbase stretched by 5mm. The suspension of this car has been modified to enhance the i10’s ride comfort, agility and braking stability. It is believed to have best-in-class cabin and luggage capacity.

The senior vice president and Chief Operations Officer of Hyundai Motor Europe, Allan Rushforth, says, ‘New-generation i10 is another significant step forward for Hyundai Motor. Every aspect of the car has been designed and rigorously developed to meet the demands and needs of European consumers. New-generation i10 fully embodies Hyundai’s “true value” proposition, bringing higher levels of features and functionality than many buyers would expect to find in a vehicle of this segment.’

The company has also stated that this new generation i10 will offer improved levels of comfort and a wide range of standard features which can usually found on vehicles in segments above. Basic features of this new i10 includes automatic climate control, heated leather steering wheel and cruise control with speed limiter, standard-fitment stability control and front curtain airbags.

Specification, acceleration and pricing details will be announced during Frankfurt Motor Show and production of this model will begin from next month.
