Jaguar may reveal its all new ideal SUV with the brand name either Jaguar Q-type or Jaguar XQ at the Frankfurt Motor Show anticipated to be held in September. With the design idea like the recently launched F-Type and Jaguar XF, the model is likely to be based on the  Range Rover Evoque.

The technical specs are yet to be unveiled by the company. The SUV is likely to be powered by the same set of engines like on the Evoque. It is exceptionally possible to be manufactured on the basis of Jaguar’s new aluminium PLA platform.

The Q-Type can be predicted to be comprised of 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine that will seen to be featuring in the next generation Evoque. It will challenge the BMW X3, Audi Q5 and its relative the Range Rover Evoque after being launched. Jaguar is passionate to increase its sales rate in the next three years  with the entry of SUV in the Jaguar family. Further details are expected to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Along with the SUV, Jaguar has also re-entered into their compact segment sedan class and working on the project. The launching can be arranged at the same Frankfurt Show. This sedan class will prove as a rival of Mercedes Benz C Class, BMW 3 Series and Audi A4.
