Leaked images BMW i8 Electric SuperCar Concept

BMW is giving finishing touch to its i8 hybrid Sports car. Recently, some images of BMW i8 have been leaked on the Internet. These images give us a glimpse that i8 will be more powerful than the concept unveiled in 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. By looking at the images, we can assume that BMW i8 will be considered among the stars of the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

BMW i8 uses 1.5-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine that drives the rear wheelbase which produces 170 kW of power and and 320Nm of torque. Front wheelbase of the i8 concept driven via the electric motor which provides 96 kW of power and 250Nm of torque.

Co2 emission is only 59g/km and the average fuel consumption is 2.5 litres/100km. Using the combined power output of 266 kW and 570 N.m of torque, i8 can be accelerated from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250km/h in hybrid mode and 120 km/h in electric mode. When this BMW i8 run on its electric motor, it can travel for 35 km. 

This plug-in hybrid sports car has glass-inlaid butterfly wing doors and the total weight is under 1500 kg. Further specifications of this hybrid car will be announced next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
