The Italian automaker Ferrari is planning to develop more hybrid supercars. As per the declaration from the company’s chairman - Luca di Montezemolo, the Maranello carmaker will continue to develop, unveil and sell hybrid supercars. Further details of the possible models are yet to be unveiled from the Ferrari. However no electric cars are expected over the coming years.

The first ever Ferrari hybrid supercar the LaFerrari has been officially presented to the public, in a world premiere, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, back in March. It has prove a strong rival for the McLaren P1 and the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder.

The hybrid concept from Ferrari is working well as 499 LaFerrari are already running on the roads all over the world. Apart from extending this hybrid concept, Ferrari is also planning for enhanced exclusivity by reducing the deliveries by 400 units to about 6,900 examples/year.
