Peugeot all-new models revealed at Johannesburg International Motor Show

Peugeot rocks at the Africa’s largest exiting motor show - the Johannesburg International Motor Show 2013. The brand unveiled its all new compact crossover, 2008 and the exciting RCZ-R coupe. It serves as a platform for the car manufacturers to connect with their current, prospective and future customers.


Francis Harnie, the managing director of Peugeot SA said that the show gives best experience the passion of the latest advanced technology.


2012 was a decade since Peugeot brand officially returned to South African market again as a complete subsidiary of the French vehicle manufacturer.


The company made some improvements in its brand by specially putting emphasis on increasing the sales and after sales service levels.


Peugeot 2008:



 

It was launched in Europe earlier this year. This compact crossover can be viewed as a combination of  raised posture and sturdy SUV looks. The latest Peugeot design language is revealed from the styling features.


The all new Peugeot is featured with a two tier instrument panel and a small steering wheel and is also included in 2008’s interior design plans, apart from this there is also a touch screen which provides an interface for infotainment system.



 

The 2008 model will be available in two different range of efficient petrol and diesel powertrains along with a choice of combined transmission.


Peugeot RCZ-R:


 

 

RCZ is the most dazzling model from the Peugeot family. And now the company launches its new range RCZ-R.  


The 1,6 litre turbocharged four pot has been updated to handle out the maximum output of 199 kW, while the torque power is 330 N.m. Power is applied by a slight difference. The company ensures 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5,9 sec and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h.

 


 

 

With 19 inch alloy wheels the model appears with a lowered posture, a large, fixed rear wing and improved rear diffuser. It serves a strong stopping power with bigger brakes and increased value of callipers.



 

 

The cockpit comes with a full powered racier execution, lightweight seats trimmed with a combination of Nappa leather and Alcantara stitched in contrast red.


This featured model will be available for sale in South Africa in limited numbers from the first half of 2014.
