Peugeot RCZ R coming soon in SA

Peugeot is a French car manufacturer and it a part of PSA Peugeot Citroen. The first Peugeot automobile was produced in 1889. After the sporting success of the RCZ Peugeot Sport company is going to release hotter version of its RCZ coupe, RCZ R at the "Goodwood - Festival of Speed". South Africans will be able to see this racy Peugeot at the Johannesburg Motor Show in October this year and it will go on sale in mid-2014.

RCZ R’s new 270 hp/199 kW turbo engine makes the most powerful production model in the history of the Marque. The CO2 pollution is limited to just 145g/km this places the RCZ R at an unheard-of level of performance and efficiency. You can speedup RCZ R from 0 to 100 km in less than 6 seconds. With a weight of 1280 kg, the RCZ R has a weight/power ratio of just 4.7 kg/hp. The RCZ R is a front-drive car with six-speed gearbox. Top speed of RCZ R is 250 km/h.

RCZ R will be available in four exterior colors: Moroccan Red,Opal White, Mercury Grey and Nera Black combined with a matte black roof and black mirror shells. This car is also equipped with new bucket seats in sporty design. The seats have an "R" monogram to distinguish the model from other RCZs. Peugeot installed embossed door sills, red stitching on the dashboard, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear lever gaiter, door panels and armrests. The smaller steering wheel and short shift gear stick with a specific aluminium knob gives a great comfort to the driver.

A high level of safety equipment and comfort is also available on RCZ R. When the driver enters in the car, it discovers an ergonomic driving position, ideal for enjoying the dynamic qualities of the RCZ R. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 235 / 40 R19 tyres optimise the grip and guarantee remarkable road holding.
