Stunning cars at the Frankfurt Motor Show

The most awaited Frankfurt Motor show is now finally here,is set to rock by the media as the gates are opened for them from 10th September and then to the public on 12th September onwards.

As the show was in their hometown the Germans were booming on the floor with the production cars like the BMW i8, Porsche 918 and also the concepts like Nanuk quattro from Audi.

The show looked based on the “green” theme as most of the cars unveiled at the show were plug-in hybrids and EV’s. On the other hand some “cool” car attracted the car lovers to attend the show. Here are the best ones:

1) Audi nanuk quattro concept:

The combination of R8 and the Dakar racer makes the nanuk quattro concept and as the Audi says it can also be considered as a normal supercar. With 5.0 liter turbo diesel V10 engine the car produces 544 horsepower and 737 pound of torque. The car can do 60 mph in 3.8 sec upto the top speed of 189.52 mph.

2) Audi Sport quattro concept:

A stylish rally car with a plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 4.0 liter twin turbocharged V8 and an eight speed Tiptronic transmission along with an electric motor. It produces a total output of 700 hp and 590 lb-ft. This Sport quattro will do 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 mph

3) Brabus B63S 700 6×6:

First Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG then followed by Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6*6 and now it seems Mercedes is going crazier for military vehicle Brabus B63S 700 6*6. It now produces 690 hp and 708 lb-fta and also got massive 37-inch tires.

4) BMW i8:

Inspite of being revealed in 2011 the real debut to the world was at the Frankfurt show. BMW offers the car powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged triple and an electric motor which on combining produces 362 hp and 236 lb-ft. The i8 will do 0 to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and will reach a limited top speed of 155 mph

It will go on sales next year with pricing $135,000.

5) Ferrari 458 Speciale:

The hardcore version of Ferrari stellar 458 Italia supercar. The aerodynamic splitters along with a retuned 4.5 litre V8 engine producing 597 hp and 398 lb-ft. The car can do 0 to 62 mph in just 3 sec.

6) Lexus LF-NX concept:

The Lexus NF-NX concept with the L-Finesse design is the ever seen and the most extreme clarified concept from the firm.  The production will go parallel with the Mercedes Benz GLA and the BMW X4. The concept includes a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.5liter Atkinson cycle four and an electric motor.

7) Mercedes-Benz Concept S-Class Coupe:

The S-class coupe shares many similar design features as seen in the CLA sedan launched earlier in March. The engine powering this car is a 4.7-litre biturbo V8 which produces 457PS and 700Nm of torque. The Coupe will also be seen with an “Intelligent Drive” technology which comprises of two different cameras which generates a 3D view of the surrounding upto 50 meters.

8) Opel Monza concept:

With styling, technology and powertrain Opel revealed its Monza concept at the Frankfurt Show inspiring the future models. The concept will be seen with a plug in hybrid powertrain and an extended  1.0-liter triple powered by compressed natural gas (CNG). The Monza concept tends to look similar like a Coupe.

9) Porsche 918 Spyder:

Porsche finally unveiled the production version of its plug-in hybrid supercar at the Frankfurt Show. The Spyder 918 is featured with race inspired 4.6 litre engine V8 engine which generates 617 PS. Total system output is 887 hp and 590 lb-ft and the car will do 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 sec. It will prove to be a rival of La Ferrari and McLaren P1.

10) Volvo Coupe Concept:

The concept is based on Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) which will also be seen in several future models. The Coupe is a plug-in powertrain which comes with both turbocharged and supercharged a 2.0 liter gasoline four cylinder engine. They produces an  output of 440 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.
