Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R Concept for 65th Frankfurt Motor Show

We all know that, the 65th Frankfurt Motor Show is devoted for the hybrid technology. To stand in this competition, the Japanese automaker Toyota is going to revise its Yaris model. Toyota has released a sketch of this upgraded Yaris Hybrid-R Concept.

The new Yaris operates on a 1.6-liter Global Race Engine (GRE) with the two electric motors. This feature makes Yaris the all-wheel drive motor. This technology is acquired from the 3.4-litre V8-powered Toyota TS030 Hybrid Le Mans racing car.

 

Toyota has sold more than 5.5 million hybrid vehicles globally and continues to extend its portfolio. Toyota currently provides 23 models worldwide. Toyota has calculated that its hybrid vehicles have saved 12 billion litres of fuel and 34 million tonnes of CO2 emissions.


On September 10, Toyota has scheduled a press conference in Hall 8 at the Frankfurt motor show. Power, efficiency, and performance details of Yaris Hybrid-R Concept will be announced at that time. Along with the Yaris Hybrid-R Concept, Toyota will also present the current status of the Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle (FCHV) concept in Frankfurt Motor Show. According to Toyota, “by the end of 2015 Toyota will have introduced a further 16 new or revised hybrid models.”

Major enhancements of the Yaris Hybrid-R Concept are Large alloy wheels and a roof spoiler with the sporty three-door profile, a larger air dam flanked by big vents separates the front end. This car is suitable for both road as well as track drive.
